The second iteration of this hotel was a low-slung double loaded corridor scheme, wherein the entire structure is conceived of as a green 'hill'. The building is composed of verdant and wide green balconies and uses 'tree columns' and 'tree canopies' as a design language invented for the back to nature expression of the architectural form. The rooms and public areas are designed for natural ventilation to take advantage of the mild weather, and air conditioning is used only in the peak summer months. The low impact of the site planning and the maximum respect for the existing trees allowed for a truly green and lush hotel environment that sets the tone for a relaxing and calming pre and post safari experience for the guests.
