Alan Lai is a Design Principal leading WOW’s London team, providing representation and support to our UK and European clients and design community network. Alan is responsible for increasing awareness of WOW’s capabilities and experience in the Hospitality and Real Estate development markets while providing a connection to WOW’s vast network of associates, clients and investors in Asia.
Alan works with WOW’s London, Singapore and Manila teams to provide seamless integration of design and management solutions for projects in the UK & Europe, MENA and Asia.
Prior to joining WOW, Alan’s diverse professional experience from working with Alsop and AEDAS prior to leading RSP London provided the broad international exposure which enables him to lead a team of architects and designers leading international projects. His projects have received architectural design awards in the UK, Middle East and Asia, including RIBA Awards, Civic Trust Awards, Stirling Prize Short-list, AIA London/UK Chapter Excellence in Design, MIPIM Awards and Cityscape Asia Awards.
Born in Hong Kong, and educated in the UK, Alan completed his Architectural studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London where he has practiced architecture for several decades.
